Volunteers support every pillar of our operations and help us to grow hope, improve food security, and build a better community. We can use your help if you are interested in our initiatives to provide, educate, and create opportunities for the most vulnerable in our community.

 

Market Stand Crew Training

Be part of our first ever volunteer training & ambassador program! Get ready to see the direct impact of your efforts on food insecurity in our community.

Starting in 2026, we are offering our first ever volunteer training & ambassador program, where you’ll get an insider’s look into the impact our food has on the community. 

​

The Soulful Seeds Market Stand Crew training experience is a deep-dive into non-profit gardening and harvesting in Northern Nevada.

​

Training will cover essential topics, including tool and garden safety, plant identification, planting techniques, produce distribution, quality control, and community engagement.

​

Training will take place on the first Wednesday of each month from May through August.

 

With weekly volunteer opportunities for our Soulful Crew members to engage in planting, harvesting, and sharing with our neighbors. As a crew member, you’ll become an ambassador for Soulful Seeds, gaining a deeper understanding of our mission and its importance for food security. Ready to get involved?

Private Volunteer & Team-Building Days at Soulful Seeds

Looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind volunteer or team-building experience in the heart of Reno/Sparks? Soulful Seeds is now offering a limited number of private, thoughtfully created volunteer days in our garden for groups looking for a day of fresh air, green space, team building and the opportunity to help us get free, fresh produce to our neighbors. We offer a 3-acre food-production garden with plenty of garden tasks for all interests and ability levels, with seating for a lunch break, hoop houses that help us extend our growing seasons, and a native-Nevadan garden to peruse and learn more about gardening in our high desert urban landscape. 

 

If you want to help us reduce food insecurity and do good in your community while having fun spending time with colleagues or friends, consider us for your volunteering and team building!

We have two options for booking your private volunteer and team building experience.

Become a Community Partner!

 If you're a group of under 20 people, want an experience of 4 hours or less, are interested in a variety of tasks that come up in the garden, and see a date on our calendar that works well for your group, book directly on our calendar by searching for "Private Volunteer and Team Building Days" on our Soulful Seeds Calendar. While the dates available are not changeable, the start/end times are, and you can include a note about that when booking.

Benefits include an exclusive garden tour, a schedule for your team with a fun group activity, a social media shoutout (optional), snacks, and the option to cater or bring food into the garden. 

​

The donation for securing this volunteer and team building day is $20 per person with a minimum $200 donation and includes the above benefits. 

​

Your generous donation allows us to cover our staff time and preparation as a non-profit organization. This helps us make a larger impact in our community efforts for programming and growing and distributing food to where it’s needed.

Become a Premier Partner!

If you’re a group of 20 or more people, you want an experience of 4-6 hours, or your desired date, season, or task is not available on our calendar, this is the option for you!

Your Premier Partner garden day includes an exclusive garden tour, a schedule for your team with a fun group activity, a social media shoutout (optional), snacks, the option to cater or bring food into the garden, and the opportunity to share your logo and name in our newsletter and on our website. 

​

The donation for securing this volunteer and team building day is $40 per person with a minimum $400 donation. Your generous donation allows us to cover our staff time and preparation as a non-profit organization. This helps us make a larger impact in our community efforts for programming and growing and distributing food to where it’s needed.
